Nova Scotia Pyrography

2022, Natural pigment watercolour on burnt live edge wood.

Wood cuts vary from 5 x 7, and 10 x 13 inches in size.

These pyrographic works came as an extension of the narrative themes of the first set, this time focused on memory and specific location. Through the help of my grandparents, I was able to compile locations I remembered from their property in Nova Scotia to create artworks loosely inspired by the nature of my childhood.
